Another glorious day for Ford Fair... I have never seen a wet or cold one yet. This show at Silverstone never fails to be a cracking day.
The club had quite a good location this year as we actually got some tarmac to park on rather than roughing it on the grass like last year, it was also an impressive turn out with a wide variety of XRs represented
This show was also the grand unveiling of what would turn out to be the branches Star Car.
Mark Shannon & crew trailored the Mk1 XR2 up and kept it under wraps til we got to the show...... certainly well worth the wait. It managed to draw quite a lot of attention too which was more than well deserved.
Most of us found ourselves standing & staring.. some of us drooling (sorry, it wont happen again)
We decided to camp before & after as we didnt fancy driving there & back in one day. It proved to be a great laugh, I even got the lights under my car cleaned for me by Keith.... I think alcohol might have been involved.
We did wimp out and went to a pub for our meal after the show as we all decided we couldnt be bothered to cook.
