Last years show was so good we came back for more and like last year, the weather didn't fail us.

We met at Ilminster Services for a bit of breakfast and a chin wag. Some of us did some last minute polishing before heading off to the show which did mean we got funny looks from other people in the car park... have they never seen someone polishing their exhaust in a Travelodge car park before?

I managed to avoid last years fun of removing the front valance from my XR2i as the organisers had provide a bit extra wood to get up over the kerb (which was really appreciated) so we all got into the grounds uneventfully and got set up.
most of the day was spent relaxing and chatting although conversation did end up in the gutter and for once it wasn't my fault. After Marcia had a bit of a dirty laugh about something one of us said the flood gates had been opened and all of a sudden no matter what was said it was met with raised eyebrows and a snigger (some quotes to be added to quote of the event section).
We wandered into the town but this year there were no craft stalls or food tasting which was a little disappointing but the XROC are a hardy bunch so we headed straight for the local co-op and kited ourselves out with munchies. Elvin ended up with half the store in his basket somehow.

Back at the show we sat down to munch on strawberries and cream (and the other treats we had accumulated) before having a proper look around all the cars on display. Despite it being a relatively small show there was a wide selection of cars to look at which got even wider when new members of the South West branch arrived in their green cabriolet.

The end of the day came fast but we still had enough time to amuse the locals. We all agreed to play on the bouncy castle/slide so we headed over there. At this point I must point out all the lads wimped out and stood on the sidelines as Marcia, Laura & I had a riot throwing ourselves about. I'm not sure they realise how much they missed out on. Mind you... I don't remember getting worn out on a bouncy castle as a child but this one nearly killed me!!

All in all a good day and we will definitely be back for more.
