October has seen quite a few wet days but luckily for us the sun was shining down on Exeter (even if everywhere else was getting a soaking.
We met up at the Toby Carvery at Middlemore, Exeter. A few of us were in our XRs but the rest joined us in quite a selection of vehicles. Bri was in a Mazda (after selling his immaculate XR4i), Marc and abi were in their Focus (with both their XRs tucked away safe and warm over winter)and lastly there was Steve, he arrived in another of his projects... the photos speak for themselves for his Capri, it needs some love but I'm sure it'll get there.
We sat down to our carverys and discussed the coming months as well as planning the christmas party. The meal went down nicely with a few drinkies (soft of course for those driving amongst us).
We have decided there is a lot to look forward to, we wait in anticipation of Bri's new purchase (once he's plugged the unwanted holes that is), a lot of us are doing little projects on our XRs over the winter and if there are any big jobs to be done we may spend a day cracking on with them together.... with the pizza delivery menu on standby.
There was a lot of chat with Marc and Abi, talking about their new married life.
It was a great little meet, we had some giggles and made some good plans. I'm looking forward to Novembers meet... should be a good day.
