My name is Dave but everybody knows me as jaffa on account of everyshow I'm at you will always find a packet of jaffa cakes in the car.
I'm a truck driver by profession so you could say i love my driving. I have been lucky enough to drive the Nurburgring (although between you & me I know I can do it quicker.... with a bit of practise).
I'm a Birmingham lad born an bred but I am with the Devon & Cornwall branch on account of my girlfriend.
I enjoy the shows and try to get to as many as i can to catch up with the lots of friends i have made in the club
I used to own capris but after spotting my 4x4 in the papers I went for a test drive and half an hour later she was mine.

This is my girl. Shes a 1992 XR4x4 with a few additions!! (mainley under the bonnet).
Shes also been fitted with avo adjustable shocks and springs and has been fully ploybushed
She also has strut braces, a Scorpion stainless steel exhaust system and twin K&N air filters.
I have a great friend who has also managed to modify a late spec cosworth steering wheel. It now has my stereo remote control flush-fitted into it.
I have been really busy recently with a little help from some friends. The 4x4 has had a bit of a facelift with a newly fitted Saphire Cosworth front bumper & Rs side skirts.
The viscous fan really needed upgrading so it was finally time to change it for twin electric fans with a freshly powdercoated black shroud.
I have also decided to treat the engine to new silicone plug leads which are better for looks & performance
I now have a new handbrake lever handle. A black leather richbrook one with the Ford logo on it.
Most recently I have had the fortune to get my hands on a black alcantara roof lining which sets off the interior a treat.
The car is an ongoing project with a long list of things im going to do which will be done as soon as possible
so keep checking back.

Upon inspection my brake discs did seem a little too worn for my liking so I decided to invest in a set of Black Diamond drilled & grooved discs which I decided to pair up with Greenstuff brake pads... I couldnt leave the old pads on could I??!!
While I was at it I decided to do the complete works. So I now have new braided brake hoses & reconditioned calipers (in gold).
