This was our second year of holding a pre-season get together. A chance to catch up with everyone before the shows start and to get us in the mood for polishing.
It was a great day again, everyone arrived at a good time and it didn't take us long to get set up at all! Pete and the boys helped us, as well as Emma & Toby who managed to arrive with all three of their cars in one piece.
The same as before, the day flew by and a lot of us were wishing there were more hours in a day. I talked so much my throat was raw and I still didn't get to speak to everybody.
Matt & Danni attended with what must be the youngest active member (of 1 month) Brayden, he took to it like a real pro. He didn't seem remotely bothered by the odd rev of an engine or the attention he was receiving from other members... nothing like starting them young.
I want to make a point of thanking a certain Mr Banbury for making it to the meet despite having his XR3i stolen only a week prior... although it must have been gutting he put on a brave face (and a few days later turned into a true detective and located it)
Emma and Toby's magical Sierra swap shop was doing a fantastic job come the end of the day and numerous members were seen walking back and forth with different car parts.
Jaffa and I had recently suffered with birthdays and ended up coming home with some car models and a bit of alcohol (thanks to our boss Tom).
Thank you to everyone who got into the spirit of it, those who taxed their cars a bit early, those who drove on roads they haven't before and those who give their continued support to the club year after year. Without you guys, our meets would never have the success they do and we cannot thank you enough!!!
